Molinari Rail Systems GmbH opening ceremony of Dessau site on November 1, 2016
[Berlin-Dessau] Molinari Rail Systems GmbH, a Chinese-Swiss joint venture company with seat in Berlin will open the new site in Dessau, Germany (Dessau-Roßlau, Am Waggonbau 11) with a ceremony on November 1, 2016. In the ceremony scheduled for 11:30 a.m. this new site will be celebrated together with the employees and guests.
Beside representatives of the city of Dessau-Roßlau and official representatives of the embassy of the Peoples’ Republic China in Berlin, of the Swiss embassy in Berlin and the state secretary of the ministry of economics of the German Sachsen-Anhalt, long term partners of the Molinari Rail Group, of FTD Fahrzeugtechnik Bahnen GmbH and the new owners will participate.
Molinari Rail Systems GmbH had previously signed a purchase agreement on the assets of insolvent FTD Fahrzeugtechnik Bahnen Dessau GmbH with the insolvency lawyer, Prof. Dr. Lukas Flöther which was formally approved this month. The purchase price was agreed to be kept confidential.
“The tradition and quality of railcar manufacturing in Germany, Austria and Switzerland was one of the main reasons to decide for this new site of Molinari Rail Systems GmbH in Dessau.”, stated Hongbing Zhou, Managing Director of Molinari Rail Systems GmbH. “Especially the Asian market offers growth potential for the products made in Germany out of this site in Dessau.”
Molinari Rail Systems GmbH will continue the more than 100 years experience and expertise in rail car manufacturing. The site in Dessau starts with 50 employees and will concentrate on the development and production of car bodies, subsystems and components for the rail industry and the repair and modernisation of rolling stock.
“The new site is perfectly completing the portfolio of the Molinari Rail Group and will transform us to be an fully integrated supplier for the European and global rail industry due to the manufacturing capacities in Dessau.”, comments Jan Harder, CEO of Molinari Rail Systems GmbH. “Together with our Chinese coowners and our main sites in Switzerland and Austria it is our main target to stabilize the site in Dessau, especially fort he employees, and to expand internationally in the future.“
